Soon, people will enjoy the world’s longest commercial flight in an upcoming couple of months. Singapore Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Singapore and it uses the Singapore Girl as its central figure in corporate branding. The company said it would be 19 hours non-stop journey from Singapore to the New York area, but it will not be available to economy travelers.

Singapore Airlines said in the statement that the non-stop journey from Changi to Newark Airport takes about 18 hours 45 minutes as it will cover about 16,700 kilometers.

The airline data provider, OAG stated that the 8,277 nautical mile flight from Singapore to Newark, New Jersey with 161 business class and premium economy seats will eclipse the 7,843 nautical mile Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Auckland as the world’s longest. Moreover, the sources said that the airline including Australias Qantas Airways, Singapore Airlines, US-based United Continental Holdings are adding ultra-long-haul flights that can capture an airfare premium of around 20 percent versus flights involving approximately one or more stops.

Singapore Airlines handles and overhaul business across nine countries and the group includes airline-related subsidiaries. The airline is the first to date only customer for the A350-900ULR.

On Wednesday, 30th May 2018, the airline plans to introduce non-stop flights from Singapore to Los Angeles with the A350-900ULR.
