The Tulane School of Professional Advancement welcomes new Director of Digital Design and Professor of Practice Dr. Amanda. Prior to this, Dr. Amanda worked at Texas A&M University where she served the title of Graphic Design Program Coordinator.

Dr. Garcia is a Ph.D. holder in Curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi also completed an M.F.A. in Graphic Design. Dr. Garcia got her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design with an accentuation in Visualization from Texas A&M University at College Station.

Dr. Garcia stated that Design has significant power to form and impact society in meaningful ways. So, considering this logic, the School of Professional Advancement Digital Design program is experiencing an enhancement to address the issues of the workforce and get ready understudies in the visual communication.

With this deep professional knowledge and passion for education, Dr. Garcia recognized as an award-winning designer. She worked with several companies such as The Venetian Las Vegas, United Way, and Volkswagen.
