German automobile manufacturer, Audi is building electric SUV to beat Tesla’s Model S and Model X. It’s going to be very tough competition.

At the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2015, Audi exposed it’s all electric e-Tron Quattro concept.

To collect information about the car’s situation the e-Tron Quattro concept uses radar sensors, a video camera, ultrasonic sensors, and a laser scanner and create a prototype of the vehicle’s surroundings in real-time. Audi currently has a lot of this tech on its newer vehicles.

The new SUV is scheduled to be launched in the market by 2018. It will have quick charging capabilities and will have three electric motors, a range of 300 miles on a single charge.

On Monday 24th April 2015, the firm step up the reservation to buyers in Norway. The company has not yet decided the actual price for the car, but the customer can pay about $2,500 to reserve the vehicle.
