Renault has come up with its model in India – a variant of Kwid called the Kwid Climber – which will be launched in the country at an impressive price of ₹4.30 lacs. Renault showed off the Kwid Climber for the first time at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The new Renault Kwid Climber is powered with a 1.0-litre 12-valve 3-cylinder engine generating maximum power of 67bhp at 550 rpm and peak torque of 91Nm at 4250 rpm. Renault Kwid Climber will be available with 5-speed manual as well as automatic transmission system with fuel efficiency of 23.01 to 24.04 kmpl.
The interior of the Kwid Climber is same as the Kwid series with some improved features like the cabin getting an orange upholstery with the ‘Climber’ insignia, new vibrant orange accents on the AC vents and on the centre fascia, a two-tone orange gear knob and orange door trim accents on the front and rear doors.
The Kwid Climber has improved its exterior by adding the bumper overriders, front and rear terrain protectors, two tone arching roof bars, muscular style wheel and a solid side profile with door protection cladding.
Renault Kwid Climber will be available over the top-end RXT (O) variant in manual transmission with three colour options – Electric Blue, Outback Bronze and Planet Grey.
